Thanks for taking a look at our Waitangi Safer Speed Limits proposal!
We'd like to change the speed limit through the Waitangi township from 70km/h to 50km/h and introduce electronic 40km/h speed signs that activate during school drop off and pick up times.
The township is becoming more urban and traffic on the main road continues to increase. These changes will provide a safer environment for pedestrians, road users, and students at Waitangi (Te Matai) School.
