We’re bringing recycling to a rural location near you!

We want to make recycling easier for our communities that don’t have access to kerbside recycling so we’re bringing a mobile recycling trailer to a location near you. The manned trailer will be in place for up to 4 hours, on a set rotation for anyone to drop off recyclable materials.

A Council team member will be on site at all times to help out and provide advice about what can and can’t be recycled. At the end of the session the trailer and contents will be removed for consolidation at our recycle centres, ready for its next scheduled outing.

But first! We want to hear from the people who’ll use the service about where and when would suit you?

Take our survey to help us create a schedule that works for you and your community. Feedback closes 8 August.

These trailers have been funded through the Waste Minimisation Fund with support from the Glass Packaging Forum.

Help name the mobile recycling centres!

We’re celebrating the launch of the new mobile recycling service by running a competition on social media to name the two mobile units.

Competition winners will get their winning entries proudly displayed on the trailers.

Submit your entry below or via our Facebook page.
