Consultation has ended. Thanks for your feedback!

We're reviewing our Policy on Council Maintenance of Previously Unmaintained Roads.

The purpose of this policy is to provide certainty around the conditions which must be satisfied before Council will assume responsibility for maintaining an Unformed Road previously unmaintained by Council.

This draft policy applies to unformed public roads and Māori roadways in our District. As part of this proposed approach, Council intends to revoke its current Māori Roadways Policy.

Please read the proposed policy on the right hand side and provide any feedback you wish Council to consider.
