Further Submissions - District Plan Proposed Plan Changes 82-91

Council is seeking further submissions on the District Plan (proposed plan changes 82-91). The opportunity to make original submissions on proposed plan changes 82-91 closed on Friday 27 September 2019, with 26 submissions received.

Plan Changes 82-91:

Plan Changes are a formal proposal to change the District Plan in order to solve resource management issues facing the District.

A brief summary of each Plan Change can be found here. The “Section 32” Reports which explain the issues being addressed through the Plan Changes and the reasons for the proposed changes can be found here.

The Plan Changes are as follows:

82. Post-Harvest Zone – Review of Provisions

83. Accommodation Facility Permitted Limit

84. Public Trails (Walkways, Cycleways, Bridleways and Similar)

85. Cleanfill Activities in the Rural, Future Urban, Lifestyle and Rural-Residential Zones

86. Floodable and Coastal Inundation Areas – Maintenance of Stopbanks and Drains

87. Frost Protection Fans

88. Noise Standards within Industrial Zones

89. Rural Contractors Depots – Separation Distances

90. Home Enterprises – Sale of Goods

91. Rangiuru Business Park – Water Supply Option.

The process of making a further submission:

• Council has prepared a summary of all submissions received on the Plan Changes 82-91 and the opportunity to make a “further” submission on any of those submissions is now open.
• Council’s “summary of submissions” on proposed plan changes 82-91 was publicly notified on Friday 25 October 2019.
• There are 10 working days to make a further submission for or against points raised in the original submissions.
• All those people who made an original submission have been individually notified of this next stage.
• The making of further submissions is limited to only those who are representing a relevant aspect of the public interest, or who have an interest greater than that of the general public.
• Further submissions can only be made to either support or oppose a submission that has already been made, new issues cannot be raised.

• The opportunity to make further submissions on proposed plan changes 82-91 closes at 4pm on Monday 11 November 2019.

• Within 5 working days of lodging your further submission with Council, you must send a copy of your further submission to the person who made the original submission. This is the further submitter’s responsibility, not Council’s. A list of submitters and their addresses can be obtained on Council’s website, from Council libraries and service centres, or by emailing lmg@westernbay.govt.nz.
