Consultation has concluded on the District Plan proposed changes 82-91. Council is considering all the feedback received and will be in touch with next steps.

We would like to hear your thoughts on several proposed District Plan changes before 27 September. Council publicly notified Plan Changes 82-91 on 31 August 2019.


Plan Changes are a formal proposal to change the District Plan in order to solve resource management issues facing the District.


The Plan Changes are as follows:

82 Post-Harvest Zone – Review of Provisions

83. Accommodation Facility Permitted Limit

84. Public Trails (Walkways, Cycleways, Bridleways and Similar)

85. Cleanfill Activities in the Rural, Future Urban, Lifestyle and Rural-Residential Zones

86. Floodable and Coastal Inundation Areas – Maintenance of Stopbanks and Drains

87. Frost Protection Fans

88. Noise Standards Within Industrial Zones

89. Rural Contractors Depots – Separation Distances

90. Home Enterprises – Sale of Goods

91. Rangiuru Business Park – Water Supply Option.

Making an online submission:

  • If you would like to make an online submission, please click the button 'fill out submission form' below.
  • You need to give specific feedback on the changes being proposed.
  • Please note you need to provide the names of the plan change/s you wish to submit on, whether you support or oppose with reasons why, and what you want Council's decision to be.
